Alberta Education Approved Kindergarten Program
Kindergarden – Kindergarden focuses on play based learning, discovery and grows a love of learn through building mathematical, creative and linguistic foundations. Kindergarden is a wonderful way for your child to discover what school is like and to have fun while learning new things.
Our Kindergarden curriculum follows the Alberta Education Curriculum as laid out by the Government of Alberta. The new Alberta curriculum consist of seven integrated discipline: Early literacy, Citizenship and Identity, Personal and Social responsibility, Environment and Community awareness, Physical skills and well-being and creative expression.

Learning numbers and solving problems with patterns. Your child will represent and describe quantities of things. They will understand and create repeating patterns and compare objects based on their attributes. They will solve problems involving numbers, patterns and objects, and connect numbers to their everyday life.
Kindergarten students:
- Count forwards and backwards
- Show, describe and compare quantities of things up
- Sort objects based on a single attribute
- Recognize groups of objects arranged in a familiar way
- Play, read and use storytelling to explore and talk about how to solve problems
- Connect numbers to everyday life
- Recognize and create patterns, using objects, sounds and actions
